Beyond the bright lights and bustling streets of Las Vegas, nestled in the Eldorado Canyon, you will find one of the best-preserved ghost towns, Nelson Ghost Town.
Techatticup Mine was a thriving gold mine in the late 1800s and is now an obscure tourist attraction in the Nevada desert. The mine has been revamped, and what remains has been either restored or preserved.

The vintage cars, old-school phone booth, wooden chapel, and downed navy fighter jet are some of my highlights.

If you want a break from the Vegas strip, take an hour’s ride to Nelson Ghost Town to see a part of the American wild west. Walk the roads where quick draw gunfights, outlaws loitered, and other debauchery ensued. Tours are $10, and if you want to take professional photos, there is a small additional charge.
