Welcome to “The Zeg” my name is SJ Waites, a guy with a passion to travel, learn and explore. I created this website for people like me who want to be inspired to travel or for those who haven’t thought about stepping outside of their box.
THE ZEG?
Zeg is the Georgian word for “Day after tomorrow”.
Two of my favorite quotes:
“Today is cruel. Tomorrow is crueler. And the day after tomorrow is beautiful”- Jack Ma
“The day after tomorrow is the third day of the rest of your life”- George Carlin
Why I started The Zeg
The more I travel and share my photos on social media I get so many inbox messages from friends asking about my travels and when I’m going to start a blog? I struggled with starting one because there are so many out there and I wanted to find a way to make it different from others.
I don’t want this to be about me and my travels I want this to inspire people to travel and to experience the arts.
Features
Rest assured I won’t inundate your inboxes with blog posts, so weekly I will share destinations you should travel to(and what to see and do), art exhibits you should check out, book recommendations, and a feature I like to call FIRSTS where we feature people including myself who have experienced something for the first time.
So if you would like to be featured just email me at sjw@thezeg.com
Again thanks for checking us out and I hope you enjoy the site!
I love this page and I love you even more! Congrats bro 🙂
Stunning imagery and interesting content! Thanks for sharing, can’t wait to see more!

SJ I have always known you had great aspirations since we were young Marines in the Corps. I am so proud of my old friend who travels the world to experience its beauty! Amazing photos, keep up the great work and hope to catch up with you again…
the site looks great. i heard about you on Radio Andy. I’m a website expert and wanted to make a suggestion: a 1-2 line description at the top that explains what it is (a fabulous travel blog). you could even just move this to the top: I’ve had this dream for a while, to start a travel blog. 5 years ago I traveled to Europe and since then this idea has been steadily developing. A website has been created, a name has been decided on. Does the design catch the readers eye, is the name Zeg catchy enough?” Will people read my blogs, are they motivating people to go travel and explore? I don’t have all the answers but I’ve come far and now it’s time to share.
Great site. Th e pictures are flawless and inspiring.
