At the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City sits an amazing display of artworks from famed Artist Andy Warhol. Known for “pop art” and using popular subjects like celebrities and brands to create artistic masterpieces.

I have been a long time fan of Mr. Warhol and so exploring the retrospective of his work was a must see. Here are some of my favorite pieces:

Warhol changed the landscape of art by experimenting with non-traditional art-making techniques. He was a inspiration to many up and coming artists and a mentor to another one of my favorite artists Jean-Michel Basquiat, who by the way is the topic in our book selection this month which you can read more about here.
Andy Warhol died in 1987 at the age of 58. His work and legacy still is still an inspiration to artists and you can check it all at the Whitney Museum until March 31, 2019.
“Isn’t life a series of images that change as they repeat themselves”- Andy Warhol
Love Andy Warhol. Hope I can make it to NYC to see this
